I strongly recommend travel to cultures and countries different than your own, to get out of your comfort zone and social bubble - the further away and the more different, the better. Unfortunately in the days of mass tourism and social media it is becoming increasingly difficult to escape the global monoculture. Difficult does not mean impossible though, if you put in the effort to look beyond the pre-packaged experiences and instagram trends there are many amazing people and places to encounter!
